Do I have to pay to use this website or any of the pictures shown here?

No this website is completely free to use, as are all the images contained on it. All we ask is that you don't republish these images in digital form without reference to us first. If you do create a work from any of the images, please let us know as we are always keen to see other peoples interpretations. You do not have to pay us any kind of fee or royalty for any works created and sold as a consequence of using images on this site; not unless you would like to reward us for your inspiration!

Please also don't pass off these images as your own, tell others about the site!

How do I download pictures?

Just click the icon underneath each pictures thumbnail, and you will get the full size picture as downloaded from the camera. If you right click and use the "save picture as" option or similiar, you are likely to be downloading the smaller thumbnail, rather than the full size picture.

What do the icons underneath the photograph mean?

Under each photograph there are three icons:-

- Detail : Shows a slide show window with a medium size version of the photograph.

- Download : This allows you to download the photograph at it's full size.

- Information : This brings up a window detailing the EXIF information stored in the photograph; that is information that was stored about the photograph when it was taken.

Are you professional photographers?

No we are not professional photographers, and we don't proclaim to be. The photographs are meant to inspire artists, not to win us awards for photography! We do know one end of a camera from another though!

How many images can I download?

There is absolutely no limit as long as they are being used as set out elsewhere on this page.

Are you giving up your copyright on these pictures?

No, we retain copyright of the images, but we are happy for you to use these images for your artistic reference.

Can I suggest ways of improving this site?

Yes! We are always open to suggestions as to how to improve the site.

Can I republish these images on my website or in any printed media?

No, not unless you are given explicit permission by us. Please feel free to contact us to discuss any any ideas that you may have though, as we are always open to ideas for new ventures.

What if I have a particular requirement and can't find an appropriate picture on this site?

If you have a particular project in mind, please contact us as we may have photos that have not been added to the site yet. We may also consider photography projects to order.
